Travis Air Force Base

Travis Air Force Base is home to the 60th Air Mobility Wing - the largest air mobility organization in the Air Force. Travis is the West Coast terminal for aeromedical evacuation aircraft returning sick or injured patients from the Pacific area. The base includes the David Grant USAF Medical Center, a teaching hospital, which serves both in-service and retired military personnel.

Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Travis is the largest employer in Solano Country with a local economic impact of more than $1 billion each year. Travis AFB includes more than 7,000 active USAF military personnel, 4,000 Air Force Reserve personnel and nearly 4,000 civilians.

AbilityOne’s team provides numerous services to Travis AFB, such as:

• Custodial: services for over 119 buildings including the Child Development Center, Fitness Center, Passenger Air Terminal and the Travis Air Museum, totaling over 1.4 million square feet.
• Facility Management: maintain 300 family housing units, provide change of occupancy maintenance, playground maintenance and pest control. Also deliver base-wide painting services including interior and exterior surfaces, awnings, gutters, fences, traffic directional signs, parking lot layout and striping, pedestrian crosswalks, and reflective beading.
• Food Service: menu maintenance, cashier services, material handling, food storage, preparation of flight line meals, food & beverage, condiments and pastry/desserts. Also provide Grab-n-Go operations and housekeeping including floors, restrooms, bussing services, facilities and equipment.
• Grounds Maintenance: mow, edge, and trim lawns, leaf removal, fertilization, aeration, irrigation systems maintenance for over 4,500 acres including airfield grounds and restricted areas. Crews maintain approved lawns for family housing and athletic fields.
• Warehouse: manage warehousing and inventory control operations including on base "U-Fix-It" and "Self-Help" stores for Military Family Housing Maintenance.
